Hopkins headlines upcoming fightcard this Saturday!

Bernard Hopkins

Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (29-0, 21 KO) Vs. Gabriel Rosado (21-6, 13 KO)

This Saturday, October 26th, on the Hopkins vs. Murat undercard, WBO middleweight champ Peter Quillin will be defending his championship against Gabriel Rosado. Expect this fight to be more competitive and exciting than the main event. Quillin is a young fighter on the rise, his resume includes wins over an over-the-hill Winky Wright, The Contender star Jesse Brinkley, and most recently defended his belt by knocking out the undefeated Fernando Guerrero.
This is Gabriel Rosado's second fight at middleweight. His first fight at middleweight was against Golovkin, and he got dominated than stopped in the 7th round. Rosado's biggest wins are his stoppages of Powell and the always tough Soto-Karass.
Quillin has the speed, power advantage and has the better resume. Rosado is the underdog, and he deserves to be. Don't count Rosado out though, he does have knockout power and he has a lot of heart and anything could happen!

Prediction: Quillin will punish Rosado through 7 rounds before scoring the TKO. This win will set up a big fight for Quillin in a loaded middleweight division. Some possible future opponents for Quillin include; Golovkin, Stevens or Martinez.

Boxing Needs A Super Heavyweight Division!

 Klitschko brothers

The heavyweight division was once a legenday division with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and George Foreman in the heavyweight's "Golden Era" to even Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield, and  Mike Tyson in the 80's and 90's. What do all these heavyweights have in common? They were all under 225 lbs. in their prime. Since Lennox Lewis beat Holyfield in '99, there hasn't been a real legit heavyweight champ under  225 pounds. Since Lewis retired after his win over Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have dominated the heavyweight division under the coaching of the late great Manny Steward.

Miguel Cotto: Boxing legend that did it the hard way

Miguel Cotto is a throwback fighter. He stalks opponents aggressively but intelligently, like a wolf hunting its prey displaying power, speed and skill. Don't get it twisted though, Cotto is a brawler by nature but he is not a 1-dimensional fighter. Miguel has proven to change his game plan from fight to fight and mid-fight, from fighting from the inside to boxing on the outside. Cotto has fought the best fighters of his era, a list that includes Judah, Mosley, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Margarito, and Malignaggi. The following are a few fights that really cemented his legacy.
